Privacy policy

Littlebay Educational Technologies LLC (“Littlebay,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a California limited liability company that operates Remote Design Roles and is responsible for the information described in this policy. This policy applies when you browse the job board, follow a listing, subscribe to role alerts, submit or pay for a listing, sign in to an authorized account or contact us.

It does not govern an employer, agency or application provider after you leave Remote Design Roles. Those organizations decide how they collect and use information submitted through their own sites.

• Role alerts: your email address, subscription status, consent source and confirmation or unsubscribe records.
• Employer submissions: a contact name and email address, company and website information, role details, application links, selected placement and acceptance of our policies.
• Payments: customer email, purchased plan, amount, currency, payment status and transaction identifiers. Stripe handles payment-card details; Littlebay does not store raw card numbers.
• Accounts and support: account identifiers, sign-in records, saved items where available, and information included when you contact us.

When you follow a job or agency link, we may record the listing, destination, time, referring page and campaign parameters so we can understand which listings are useful. We do not use this activity to make employment or eligibility decisions.

Our infrastructure may also process an IP address, browser and device information, request headers and ordinary server logs to deliver and secure the service. For application-level rate limiting, we convert the network address and relevant identifier into a keyed hash instead of storing the raw address in our application database.

• Provide, maintain, personalize and secure the service.
• Confirm and deliver role alerts that you requested.
• Review, verify, publish, update and remove employer submissions.
• Process paid placements and maintain transaction records.
• Measure listing usefulness, diagnose failures and prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
• Communicate about submissions, purchases, policy changes and support requests.
• Comply with law and establish or defend legal claims.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, your consent, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating a useful, secure job publication. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time without affecting earlier processing.

We use service providers to operate the platform, including Cloudflare for hosting and network security, Convex for application data and authentication, Resend for email delivery, and Stripe for payment processing. They receive information only as needed to provide their services to us and process it under their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or with your direction. If ownership changes, this policy will continue to apply unless you are notified otherwise.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use third-party advertising cookies.

We use cookies or similar browser storage only when needed for security, authentication and core service functionality. Current listing analytics are recorded when a redirect is followed and do not rely on third-party advertising cookies.

If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technology, we will update this policy and provide notice or consent controls where required. Because there is no consistent industry response to browser “Do Not Track” settings, the service does not respond to that signal today. We will honor legally required universal opt-out signals if our data practices make them applicable.

We retain information for the period reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Subscription records remain while a subscription is active and may be retained afterward to honor suppression and unsubscribe choices. Submission and payment records may be retained for review, support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax and dispute-resolution needs. Security logs and rate-limit records are retained according to operational need.

We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or information about disclosures, and to object to or withdraw consent from certain uses. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Submit a request to support@littlebaytech.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why when the law requires it. Residents of the EEA, United Kingdom or Switzerland may also complain to their local data-protection authority.

Littlebay and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use recognized contractual or legal safeguards for these transfers.

Remote Design Roles is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised version here, update the date below and provide additional notice if a change is material and the law requires it.
